Information we collect

We collect account details such as your name, email address, marketplace role, and agreement acknowledgments. When you use WeddingCrashers, we may also collect listing details, inquiry and message content, support requests, vendor details, reviews, and the information you choose to submit about an event.

How we use it

We use this information to operate accounts, show marketplace listings, connect couples with hosts and vendors, facilitate private conversations, provide support, prevent misuse, process purchases through our platform providers, and improve the service. We ask hosts to publish only a general city, town, or area—not a private street address.

What is visible

Public listing pages show the information a host or vendor chooses to publish, such as a venue’s general area, capacity, amenities, photos, service details, and reviews. Private email addresses, phone numbers, payment details, full workspace information, support requests, and private messages are not displayed on public listing pages.

Messages, media, and support

Marketplace messages and in-app inquiries are available only to the people participating in that conversation. Listing photos are intended to be public when a host publishes them; do not upload private documents, personal identification, or sensitive images. Support requests are handled privately by WeddingCrashers personnel with a business need to review them.

Host property verification

Hosts may submit a property address and a limited ownership or authorization record for confidential platform verification. We also record separate confirmations that the signed-in host says their identity details are accurate and theirs, that they have lawful access or control of the property for the listed event use, and that they have the legal right to rent or license the space for events. The confirmations are associated with the authenticated host account and timestamped. Evidence, private addresses, and confirmation metadata are used only for internal review; they are not shown to couples or the public and are not part of venue search results or listing pages. A host can remove a draft venue and its associated verification record before it has inquiries; records otherwise follow the retention approach described here. This manual review does not itself establish legal ownership or replace identity, property-record, legal, regulatory, insurance, or permitting review.

Payments and service providers

Checkout and payment processing are handled through the MadeThis platform and its payment providers. WeddingCrashers receives only the order information needed to confirm the purchase, provide access, and send a receipt; we do not collect or store payment-card numbers. We also use limited analytics to understand site usage, with form autocapture disabled.

Retention and your choices

Marketplace messages and support records are retained while needed for coordination, safety, dispute handling, and platform operations. Host verification evidence is restricted to the host and authorized founder-admin reviewers and is reviewed for deletion when a draft listing is removed; approved-listing evidence may be retained while the listing and related safety or dispute obligations remain active. You can download your available marketplace data or request account deletion from Profile settings. We may retain or anonymize limited financial, accounting, fraud-prevention, safety, dispute, and legal records where necessary.

Privacy or security concern?

Use the private support form to request privacy help, report a suspected security issue, or ask about account data. Please do not send passwords, payment-card numbers, government IDs, or a private property address.
